2025 Legislative Day

It’s time to sign up for advocacy! SCSHA Legislative Day is planned for May 7, 2025!

Please plan to come to the SC Statehouse to ensure our state legislators know what SLPs do and how they can support our work through legislation. 

Location: SC Statehouse grounds, meet outside the Blatt building
Recommended Attire: Business casual OR university branded apparel (for students) with comfortable walking shoes

We will have a sticker with “SLP” on it for recognition. Please let us know during registration if you need an “Aud” sticker for audiology.

Tentative Schedule:
10-11 Chat with the SCSHA lobbyist
11-12:30 Photo on the steps and introductions in the House and Senate
12:30-1:30 Meet your SC senators and SC House representatives 

If you can’t stay for the whole time, we will be glad for you to come for whatever portion you can attend. You are encouraged to attend a SC statehouse tour if you have time!

Registration closes on Monday May 5th, so go ahead and get this done today!
