The safety of our attendees is paramount. We are taking the following precautions.  

SCSHA recommends wearing a face covering in large gatherings.

 By attending this event, you agree to abide by the following guidelines: 

  • I have not experienced the following: Atypical cough, Atypical shortness of breath, Fever of 100 degrees F or 37.8 degrees C, or above, Chills/repeated shaking, Muscle pain, Sore throat, Headache, New or loss of taste or smell

  • I affirm that in the past 14 days I have not had close contact (within six (6) feet for a prolonged period of time) with someone with a diagnosis of the virus or traveled internationally 

  • I agree that it is my responsibility to wear a mask or face covering, except while ACTIVELY eating and drinking, for my own safety if I am concerned about contracting COVID-19. 

 SCSHA follows: 

  • CDC guidance for people who are fully vaccinated - to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.  

  • Due to our cooperative agreement with the meeting facilities, if you haven't been fully vaccinated, a mask covering both the nose and mouth will be suggested at all times while inside the hotel unless eating or drinking, or while in your guest room.  

    • In general, people are considered to be fully vaccinated when:  

      • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or  

      • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, or

      • booster, if eligible   

  • For those who haven't been fully vaccinated, state and municipal health guidelines stress that, whenever possible, all persons should leave at least 6 feet (approximately 2 meters) of space to the person closest to them.  

 

 SCSHA Protocol 
 Acknowledgement of Enhanced Safety and Health Measures:  

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, the Annual Convention in person constitutes an agreement by the registrant to abide by SCSHA’s and the host property's efforts to comply with current CDC  recommendations and to engage in certain health-and-safety-beneficial conduct while attending the event as requested by SCSHA (including wearing a mask and engaging in appropriate physical distancing if you haven’t been vaccinated, not attending the event if feeling sick, showing certain symptoms or after being exposed to an individual with COVID-19).  

 GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONS  

 General Information  

  •  All attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal protective equipment (e.g. masks and hand sanitizer) for their personal use.  

  • It’s mandatory to accept the meeting waiver located on the event registration site prior to attending the meeting.  

 Face Mask and Social Distancing  

  • It is suggested that if you haven’t been fully vaccinated, a mask covering both the nose and mouth be worn while inside the hotel unless eating or drinking, or while in your guest room.  

  • In general, people are considered to be full vaccinated:  

    • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or  

    • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine  

SCSHA recommends that if you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated.  

 General Hotel Cleanliness  

  • The hotel requires team members to wear face masks indoors.  

  • Hilton has partnered with Lysol and put into place an extensive cleaning protocol for our guestrooms, meeting space and common areas that our hotel staff currently and will continue to follows.

  • Touchless hand sanitizer stations are located around the hotel.  

  • Public bathrooms will be cleaned frequently (more than once an hour).
