South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association Annual Convention 2022
Convention Dates: February 1-4, 2023

Do you feel called to speak on your private practice niche? Are you a school-based SLP with insights to share? Have you been able to troubleshoot a problem or develop a unique, cutting edge, and evidence-based solution? Do you have an intriguing perspective or fresh insight into a common practice problem? If you answered "Yes!" to any or all of these questions, then take that leap of faith and submit a Call for Papers to become one of SCSHA’s Scholars!

Submission Guidelines
In order to submit a Call for Papers application, please read each section carefully and provide all information included on the form.  You will also need to include the following information in order to be considered; a brief speaker biography with complete contact information and credentials provided (for all planned speakers), a program title, an abstract (75-100 words), defined learning objectives (3 statements), financial and non-financial disclosures (for all planned speakers), and please go to the ASHA webpage http://www.asha.org/ce/for-providers/EBCETutorialIntro/ for information on how to infuse evidence into Continuing Education Course content. Before submitting your proposal to the Call for Papers, it is extremely important that you read, understand, and agree to follow the SCSHA Conflict of Interest Policy on the SCSHA Website found at (https://scsha.memberclicks.net/assets/docs/scsha_ce_conflict_of_interest_policy.pdf).

 

Disclosure Policy
*The SCSHA Convention must be registered with ASHA each year as a sponsored continuing education (CE) event. In order for the participants and/or attendees to obtain Continuing Education (CE) Credits for attending the event, SCSHA has to register each presentation for approval as a CE activity with ASHA. Presenter cooperation is necessary to make this possible. Please complete the Call for Papers application in its entirety. A helpful link to ASHA Continuing Education presenter resources has been provided (see below) to assist you as you complete these required forms. 

Those submitting proposals accepted by the Convention Planning Committee will receive additional instructions pertaining to requirements for preparing presentation slides to meet financial and non-financial disclosure requirements.*
